Where are you sitting on a comma?

You’re stuck, I get it. I call “sitting on a comma”. That’s what I coach people about and that’s what we talk about on the podcast, which you also see here on my Substack.

You’ve got a story to tell, but you’re not yet ready for the podcast microphone. No worries! Tell us about it in writing and let us share it with the world for you!

As a coach and a fellow human being, I’m passionate about exploring what gets people stuck and how they get unstuck. That’s what the Off the Comma Podcast is all about. Now you can add to the body of work we are creating without committing to a recorded interview.

After a few demographic questions, you’ll have the opportunity to tell your story, using the same 5 questions I ask in the podcast. Here’s the questions, so you can start thinking about your answers.

1. Where in your life have you found yourself sitting on a comma? (Describe it. Tell us what happened. Where and how were you stuck?)
2. What did this create for you? (What was it like? How did it feel? What were you experiencing?)
3. What did you learn about yourself? (What did this situation teach you, reveal to you, show you? What did you discover about yourself?)
4. What changed for you as a result? (What’s different now? What’s new? What did you pick up, keep carrying and put down?)
5. What does getting off the comma look like for you? (What does getting unstuck involve now? What would you say to someone else who’s feeling stuck?)

Okay, now that you’ve got the gist, let’s get started! I believe this form will let you save your answers and come back to it. Maybe try it out after the first question or two.

I also recommend writing your answers separately and THEN copying them into this form! That allows you to save your work, in case there’s a technology glitch.
