My Nomad Journey – Friends I Visited

This post has been a long time coming and will be a very short one. When I started on my Nomad adventure in November 2024, I had big plans, with multiple stops to visit friends along the way. I realized after a few stops that I never asked them for permission to talk about them in the Substack posts. As a result, I decided to keep them “private” in each of my monthly posts, out of respect for their privacy.
Now that the first planned part of my Nomad adventure is complete, I have reached out to my friends and asked their permission to acknowledge all of them from my visits. Below are all of the friends I was able to visit and/or stay with during my travels around the perimeter of the country in 2024 and 2025. I just want to take a moment to acknowledge each of you by first name and feature one photo of us (if I have it) to show what an amazing group of friends I have! (NOTE: There may be a few places I forgot to get a selfie of us, dammit!)
- Shelly in Arizona
- Kim and family in Texas
- David, Cate & Tammy in Texas (I missed getting a group photo of us! I’m so sorry!)
- Jody and Dorothy in Texas
- Kris in Texas
- Naa in Louisiana (Another missed selfie opportunity – I’m so bummed!)
- Heidi in Georgia
- Daniel & Sophia in Florida
- Jennifer in Florida
- Mary Beth in Florida
- Angela in North Carolina
- Reem in Washington DC
- Eloise and board members in New Jersey
- Austin in New Jersey
- Michael in New Jersey
- Alexis in New Jersey
- Linda and Gene in New York
- Amy, Wally and family in Ohio
- Andy and Maria in Ohio
- Amy, Eric and family in Iowa
- Flame in Nebraska
- Daniel and Chuck in Colorado (Another missed photo opportunity! Ugh!)
- Risa in Colorado (We totally missed getting a selfie and we were so bummed!)
(NOTE: I tried to get the photos in order as much as possible. 😁 And the larger pictures at the bottom are just a Substack formatting thing based on how many pics are in a gallery. Don’t get big heads because you have a bigger photo. LOL!)

And let’s not forget the pets!
- Henry in Arizona
- Nahla and Ruby in Texas
- Riley in Texas
- Bella in Georgia
- Leyla and Bella in Florida
- Bentley in New Jersey
- Benji, Chia and MooBoo in New Jersey
- Hazel in Ohio
- Mason in Iowa
- Whiskey and Tipo in California

Thank you all, again, for opening your homes to me and/or meeting up with me on the road. It was such a pleasure to see you all in-person and spend some quality time with you! I miss you lots and hope to meetup with you again in this coming year!
As always, please interact with this post. I love getting your questions, your thoughts, and your comments. I’ll reply when I’m able.
Please enjoy yourselves in this week ahead and look for another update from me about the adventures of the journey. Be well my friends!
